COVID Updates from the Session

Members and Friends of NCCC,

In our last Session meeting we discussed and evaluated our recommendation on wearing masks. While the cases are dropping, our region still has a high rate of transmission. Trends indicate it will be safer sometime in November. Thus, at this time, we leave the recommendation in place.

Session appreciates all in our congregation who work in the healthcare system -- about a dozen. The combination of staff shortages and full hospitals makes your work stressful. Thank you for serving our communities. We encourage everyone to join our appreciation by seeking them out, hearing their stories, and praying for them.

Session recognizes the difficulties of those families who cannot attend worship due to the risks involved. We miss your fellowship and look forward to the end of this pandemic. You continue to be in our hearts and prayers.

Finally, we are grateful that, to our knowledge, there has not been a single case of transmission from our worship and other activities at church. We pray for the Lord’s continued favor.

With Christ, like Christ, and for Christ,

Cecil New

Clerk on behalf of Session
