Good News, Resurrection Appearances, New Life

March 31, 2013 Speaker: Walter Wood, Jr. Series: Easter Sunday

Topic: Sermons Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:1–15:11

For Easter we divert from Paul's letter to the Philippians to that sent to their neighbors to the south of Greece in Corinth.  The Corinthian church was rife with problems and the last thing Paul does in this letter is remind them of the basic truths of the gospel and the centrality of the resurrection to that gospel.  The sermon focuses on (1) Paul's gentle reminder of the gospel truths that the Corinthians seemed to have lost sight of, (2) the centrality of the resurrection to that gospel, and (3) the grace of God in the gospel, as see in the life of Paul.
