The Pathway to Unity: Humility and How to Get It

March 24, 2013 Speaker: Walter Wood, Jr. Series: The Letter to the Philippians: Joy in the Journey

Topic: Sermons Scripture: Philippians 2:1–2:11

Paul exhorts the Phlippians to unity and shows them the way in this magnificent Christ-centered passage.  Paul makes the case that humlity is the way to unity in the church and that Jesus is our supreme example.  We are moved to awe and worship as Paul describes Jesus' deity, humanity and supreme sacrifice.  There are some thorny theological issues that this passage raises.  Paul's intent, of course, is not to get us sidetracked with theological debate, but to have us focus on the glory of Chirst and the way to unity in the church.
